Plateau and Weight Lose

Hitting a plateau is a common occurrence when a person goes through a weight loss program.

While some weight loss clients report extremely low caloric intake and adequate or high levels of activity, some clients simply stop making progress and may even relapse.

People may want to blame this lack of development on a genetic tendency to be overweight or impaired hormonal function, but the bottom line is that no human being defies the first law of thermodynamics. The human body loses mass when caloric intake is consistently below caloric intake. It should be noted that although this is rare, if a medical problem is suspected, always refer the patient to their physician for appropriate testing..
