1. Increase functional capacity
2. Increase neuromuscular coordination to improve balance and reduce risk of falls
3. Increase muscular strength, power, and mass to reduce the risk of falling, increase functional capabilities, and reduce loss of muscle (sarcopenia) and its related negative health impacts
4. Improve cardiovascular functioning to regulate and reduce cardiovascular disease and other comorbidities
